Location: UK Remote

Clearance: Eligible for Security Clearance (SC)
Employment Type: Contract

We're looking for experienced DevOps / Platform Engineers to join a growing platform engineering team delivering secure, cloud-native solutions within Defence, Government, and security-focused environments.

You'll be responsible for designing, building, automating, and supporting highly secure cloud and containerised platforms, enabling development teams to deploy and operate applications reliably at scale. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on mission-critical programmes where security, resilience, and automation are at the heart of everything we do.

Key Responsibilities

  • ✅ Build, deploy, and support secure cloud-native platforms
  • ✅ Design and maintain Kubernetes-based container environments
  • ✅ Develop Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform
  • ✅ Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines using GitLab
  • ✅ Implement GitOps deployment practices with ArgoCD and Helm
  • ✅ Support AWS cloud environments, ensuring security and scalability
  • ✅ Develop automation tooling and scripts using Python
  • ✅ Manage artifact repositories with JFrog
  • ✅ Implement observability and monitoring using Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry
  • ✅ Collaborate with development, architecture, and security teams
  • ✅ Support multi-environment deployment strategies across development, test, staging, and production
  • ✅ Drive DevOps best practices, automation, and continuous improvement

  • Experience working within secure or regulated environments

  • Experience operating within Defence, Government, National Security, or highly regulated environments
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies and platform engineering principles
  • A security-first mindset with experience delivering secure infrastructure
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities
  • A passion for automation and continuous improvement
