About TGG
We're a performance marketing agency based in Altrincham. Our work runs on data, speed and reliable infrastructure, and we're looking for a DevOps Engineer to take ownership of the platforms that keep it all moving.
The role
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building things properly rather than firefighting. You'll own our cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines and monitoring, working closely with our development and data teams to make releases quick, safe and boring in the best possible way.
What you'll be doing
- Managing and improving our cloud infrastructure (AWS), with an emphasis on cost, performance and security
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines so the team can ship confidently and often
- Automating infrastructure with tools such as Terraform, Ansible or equivalent
- Managing containerised workloads (Docker on AWS ECS)
- Patching and upgrades of the Linux servers, backups with regular restore tests, and moving developer-run deployments into pipelines
- Setting up and owning monitoring, logging and alerting so issues are spotted before clients are
- Documenting what you build so the knowledge doesn't sit with one person

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
