About The Role
We are currently seeking a highly skilled SC Cleared DevOps Engineer with expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Kubernetes (EKS) to join our client’s dynamic technical team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work remotely on high-impact projects that involve building, automating, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and microservices environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the deployment and operation of secure, scalable, and highly available cloud platforms, ensuring the seamless integration of CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and platform modernization initiatives. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can drive automation, implement best practices in security, and support critical production environments.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background with proven experience in cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices. Essential qualifications include extensive hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, and VPC. Proficiency in containerization technologies including Docker and Helm, along with expertise in Kubernetes (EKS), is required. Candidates should have experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and Ansible, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and Git. Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana is essential, as is experience working with relational and non-relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. A solid understanding of Linux administration (RHEL/Ubuntu), security controls, secrets management, and IAM policies is also necessary. Relevant certifications and previous experience supporting highly available, microservices-oriented production platforms will be advantageous.

Responsibilities
- Managing and optimizing AWS infrastructure through Terraform and Ansible, ensuring infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure.
- Operating and enhancing Kubernetes (EKS) clusters, including containerizing applications with Docker and deploying them with Helm.
- Building and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI to streamline development workflows and accelerate delivery cycles.
- Implementing comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions using Prometheus and Grafana to ensure system health and performance visibility.
- Supporting microservices-based environments and contributing to platform modernization initiatives, requiring a proactive approach to automation and DevSecOps best practices.
- Providing incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and production support for critical services to ensure high availability and resilience of the systems.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and security enhancements across the platform.
