The Tech Recruiter is hiring a Security Automation Engineer for a fast-growing, engineering-led technology business in Glasgow.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building, automating and improving cloud and security platforms. You’ll work across infrastructure automation, CI/CD, APIs, monitoring and security tooling, helping remove manual processes and build scalable technical solutions.

What you’ll be doing:
- Building automation and orchestration across cloud and security platforms
- Developing Python scripts, APIs and custom tooling
- Automating infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code
- Building and improving CI/CD pipelines
- Integrating platforms and APIs to reduce manual processes
- Developing monitoring, alerting and platform health checks
- Improving the reliability, scalability and security of cloud environments
- Identifying repetitive operational tasks and engineering them out
- Working with technical teams to turn problems into automated, maintainable solutions

What we’re looking for:
- A strong passion for engineering, DevOps and automation
- Scripting/programming skills, particularly Python
- Understanding of AWS and cloud-native/serverless architecture
- Knowledge of Terraform / Infrastructure-as-Code
- Understanding of CI/CD and Git-based development
- An automation-first mindset with a focus on scalability and continuous improvement
- An interest in cyber security and building secure platforms

Experience with AWS, Terraform, Python, GitHub, APIs, Elastic, SQL/NoSQL, DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering or Security Engineering would be particularly attractive, but you don’t need to tick every box. More important is a genuine passion for building, automating and continuously improving technology.
