DevOps Engineer

Newcastle Upon Tyne (5 days onsite)
Salary: £40,000 - £100,000

We're supporting a rapidly growing defence technology consultancy as they expand their DevOps and cloud engineering capability.

They are looking for DevOps Engineers from graduate level through to senior technical leadership to support secure, scalable, and reliable engineering environments.

You'll work on complex projects involving cloud platforms, automation, infrastructure, and modern delivery practices.

What you'll be working on:

  • Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, or Packer
  • Supporting Docker and Kubernetes environments
  • Working with AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Improving automation, monitoring, and reliability
  • Supporting Linux and Windows environments
  • Implementing secure engineering practices

What they're looking for:

  • Experience with DevOps tooling and automation
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms
  • Understanding of CI/CD and modern delivery practices
  • Experience with containers and orchestration
  • Scripting experience in Python, PowerShell, C#, Java, or similar
