DevOps Engineer

What you would do as our DevOps Engineer
As a DevOps Engineer, you will have the opportunity to contribute towards our rapidly growing technology environment by building for the future of our hosted products and services.
Reporting to the KAM Lead DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the operation and configuration of our cloud-centric product and service offerings within KAM, with resiliency, reliability and scalability at the forefront.
You would also:
- Develop and enhance our SaaS product offerings, focusing on well-architected principles including reliability, scalability, observability, and secure software delivery.
- Manage and continuously improve CI/CD platforms and build pipelines, automating code build, testing, deployment, and wider software delivery processes in collaboration with security engineering teams
- Implement and maintain automation of infrastructure, virtual machines, and containerised environments across multiple rapidly growing cloud solutions.
- Drive the adoption of DevOps culture, practices, and automation across the organisation, while identifying improvement opportunities and contributing to wider delivery roadmaps.
- Manage, maintain, improve, and automate operational runbooks and playbooks, ensuring efficient, reliable, and scalable platform operations.

The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong, demonstrable experience with public cloud computing using Microsoft Azure. Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) would also be beneficial as we implement multi-cloud solutions.
- Possesses skills in configuration management and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Terraform/OpenTofu knowledge is required, while experience with Ansible, Pulumi, AWS CloudFormation and Azure Bicep would be advantageous.
- Has excellent knowledge of foundational infrastructure concepts including Virtual Machines, Serverless Compute, Networking, Storage and Databases.
- Has experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation and code build/test automation. Experience with GitLab CI and/or GitHub Actions, together with scripting in PowerShell and/or Bash, is highly desirable.
- Can manage containerised workloads and orchestration technologies, including Azure Container Apps, AWS ECS and Docker. Experience with Kubernetes and Helm is also desirable.
