My leading client is leading client seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join on an Outside IR35 contract. This is a hands-on role focused on building and operating cloud-native platforms on Microsoft Azure, with a strong emphasis on Terraform, Kubernetes (AKS), and Azure DevOps. You’ll work closely with engineering teams to enable modern application delivery, particularly across C#/.NET, React, and PostgreSQL-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build Azure infrastructure using Terraform
- Deploy and manage workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Lead containerisation initiatives using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
- Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
- Manage container lifecycle using Azure Container Registry (ACR)
- Support workloads across AKS, ACI, and Azure App Services
- Implement secure, scalable environments using Azure Policy, RBAC, and Key Vault
- Configure and manage Azure API Management (APIM)
- Monitor and optimise performance using Azure Monitor
- Collaborate with developers to support application builds and releases (C#, React, PostgreSQL)

Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure
- Proven use of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning (essential)
- Hands-on expertise in Kubernetes / AKS in production environments
- Advanced experience with Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines)
- Strong knowledge of Docker and cloud-native patterns
- Experience working alongside application teams, ideally with C#/.NET, React, and PostgreSQL

Desirable:
- Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400)
- Experience in secure or regulated environments
- Exposure to GitHub Actions or CircleCI
Contract Details:
- Outside IR35
- Predominantly remote with very occasional onsite meetings
- Flexible UK-wide location
- Immediate start
