DevOps Engineer, Blockchain Infra

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a DevOps Engineer, Blockchain Infra based in United Kingdom.

Join a global infrastructure team building highly available, scalable, and secure platforms for blockchain services and distributed systems. You’ll design and operate cloud-native infrastructure across multiple major cloud providers while improving reliability and automation at scale. The role combines DevOps, SRE, software engineering, and platform engineering responsibilities in a technically demanding environment. You’ll work extensively with Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, observability, and distributed middleware while supporting production-critical services. Your work will directly influence deployment speed, platform resilience, security, and developer experience. This is an opportunity to solve complex infrastructure challenges while contributing to systems operating at global scale.

Accountabilities

As a DevOps Engineer focused on blockchain infrastructure, you’ll own critical elements of cloud infrastructure and platform reliability, partnering closely with engineering teams to build resilient and efficient production environments.

  • Design, build, and maintain highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Operate, optimize, and scale Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
  • Manage Kubernetes autoscaling and node lifecycle using Karpenter and native Kubernetes capabilities.
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • Design, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
  • Deploy and operate middleware platforms including Kafka, Redis, and NGINX.
  • Automate operational workflows and infrastructure tasks using Golang and Python.
  • Improve platform observability through monitoring, logging, alerting, and distributed tracing.
  • Ensure infrastructure meets high standards for reliability, scalability, security, and disaster recovery.
  • Troubleshoot production incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventative improvements.
  • Partner with software engineers to improve deployment processes, infrastructure tooling, and developer experience.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response activities.
  • Support multi-region and multi-cloud infrastructure where required.
  • Contribute to capacity planning and performance optimization for large-scale distributed systems.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
