DevOps Engineer

Experience: 2-5 years of hands-on experience
Location: Newcastle (Must be local, or willing to relocate to Newcastle)
Working pattern: Hybrid - 3 days a week in the Newcastle office
Salary: between £35k-45k dependent on experience level.

We're seeking DevOps Engineers who enjoy automating processes, building scalable environments, and supporting development teams through modern DevOps practices.

What you'll be doing

  • Building and supporting CI/CD pipelines
  • Configuring tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, and SonarQube
  • Automating infrastructure and deployment processes
  • Supporting cloud-based solutions
  • Working with developers to improve release quality and speed
  • Managing containerised environments

What we're looking for

  • Building, maintaining, and optimising CI/CD pipelines
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK)
  • Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Containerisation and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift
  • Scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Configuration and administration of DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and SonarQube
  • Environment provisioning and deployment automation
  • Release management and deployment practices
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting, and system support
  • Agile delivery experience and collaboration with development teams
