Role Description
This full-time, on-site DevOps Engineer role is based in Newport and focuses on building, maintaining, and improving the infrastructure that supports Pivos’s AI-driven solutions. The DevOps Engineer will design and manage scalable environments, implement and maintain CI pipelines, and ensure reliable deployment processes for software and AI services. The role also involves close collaboration with software development teams to streamline release cycles, improve automation, and uphold security and compliance standards across the environment.
Qualifications
- Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills with tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
- Experience in Software Development and scripting (e.g., Python, Go, Bash) to support automation and tooling.
- Hands-on expertise with Continuous Integration practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Solid System Administration background, particularly with Linux environments, including monitoring and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, security best practices, and observability tools (logging, metrics, alerts).
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and document infrastructure and processes.
