About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer specializing in Cyber Security to join a dynamic and innovative team. This fully remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects within a globally recognized leader in the cyber security industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated deployment pipelines, ensuring the security and compliance of infrastructure, and monitoring the performance of deployed applications. The role requires a proactive approach to security best practices, infrastructure automation, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.

While primarily remote, the role involves occasional visits to the company's Woking office, approximately once a month, to collaborate with team members and participate in strategic planning sessions. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in DevOps practices with a focus on cyber security or highly regulated industries. Essential qualifications include:

  • Proven experience in DevOps, including CI/CD pipeline development and automation
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS, with relevant certifications
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance standards within infrastructure and deployment processes
  • Experience with monitoring tools and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake the following responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated pipelines for building, testing, and deploying applications to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery
  • Implement and manage monitoring solutions to oversee the health and performance of infrastructure and applications across the organization
  • Apply security best practices throughout the deployment lifecycle, ensuring systems meet industry compliance standards such as GDPR, ISO, or NIST
  • Collaborate with development and security teams to integrate security measures into DevOps processes (DevSecOps)
  • Maintain and improve cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security
  • Participate in regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and incident response activities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating new tools, techniques, and industry trends
