Platform Engineer – London
I’m working with a highly technical organisation in London that is looking for a Database Platform Engineer to help build and evolve the database services used across a large engineering environment.
What you’ll be working on:
- Running and scaling database platforms across on-prem and cloud environments
- Working with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL and other modern database technologies
- Automating provisioning, upgrades, replication, monitoring and other operational processes
- Improving reliability, performance, capacity and resilience across critical database services
- Working with Linux, Python, Terraform, Ansible and modern infrastructure tooling
- Supporting services running across AWS, containers and Kubernetes
- Troubleshooting database performance, replication, indexing and query issues
