DevOps Engineer (f/m/d)
Clariness is looking for a DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) based in Berlin, Hamburg, Cape Town, UK, or Serbia.
- Full-time; unlimited -
About the Role
This role is about ensuring that Clariness’ global cloud infrastructure remains reliable, secure and ready to scale. You will join a collaborative technical environment where infrastructure enables our product, data engineering and AI teams to deliver meaningful solutions.
As a DevOps Engineer, you would be responsible for:
- Building, operating and improving Clariness’ global AWS infrastructure, with a particular focus on ECS, RDS and supporting services.
- Managing infrastructure through Terraform, contributing to reusable, maintainable and version-controlled infrastructure as code.
- Improving CI/CD pipelines and container deployment processes to support reliable, secure and efficient software delivery.
- Supporting our production systems by monitoring infrastructure, troubleshooting incidents and contributing to improvements in reliability, security and cloud cost efficiency.
- Collaborating with cross-functional product teams, as well as our data engineering and AI teams, to understand their requirements and provide effective infrastructure solutions.
- Contributing to infrastructure improvement initiatives, maintaining operational documentation and supporting technical excellence across Clariness.
We would like you to have:
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience working with production infrastructure on AWS, ideally including ECS, RDS and supporting services.
- Practical experience with Terraform, including modules, state management and infrastructure changes through version control and code review.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerized applications and production deployments.
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery, high-availability configurations and safe database migrations.
- The ability to independently deliver well-defined infrastructure tasks, explain technical trade-offs and contribute to architectural discussions.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills (English at C1 level), along with an interest in using AI-assisted tools responsibly to support infrastructure development, testing and troubleshooting.
