About The Role
We are seeking an experienced DevOps / Cloud Engineer with a strong focus on AWS to join our team on a 9+ month contract basis. This fully remote role offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of modernizing our existing cloud infrastructure. The primary responsibility involves migrating the current AWS environment from a manual, ClickOps approach to a fully automated, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) setup using AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) and CloudFormation. The successful candidate will work closely with our development team, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to live services.
This role is outside IR35 and offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere. You will be instrumental in auditing the existing environment, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing best practices to enhance security, scalability, and maintainability of our cloud infrastructure. The position requires a proactive approach, technical excellence, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
