🚨 Hiring: DevOps / Process Change – Software Architect | Digital Product Engineering
📍 Location: Remote within UK / Hybrid-Remote – London, York Road
💷 Rate: £500–£550/day
📄 Contract: Inside IR35
🇬🇧 Eligibility: UK Citizens ONLY
🏠 Residency: Minimum 5 years of continuous UK residency required
🔹 Role Overview
We are looking for a DevOps / Process Change – Software Architect to work directly with Digital Product Engineering delivery teams. The role will focus on assessing existing DevOps and SDLC practices, identifying process debt, and implementing practical improvements that enable teams to gain genuine value from AI-assisted software development and agentic workflows.
🔹 Mandatory Skills & Experience
- ✅ Strong DevOps / SDLC background
- ✅ CI/CD pipeline design and optimisation
- ✅ Branching strategy, release management & environment management
- ✅ Experience assessing and improving existing engineering processes
- ✅ Strong stakeholder engagement and team-embedded working style
- ✅ Understanding of AI-ready DevOps and AI-assisted engineering
- ✅ Experience with GitLab, JIRA, Confluence or equivalent enterprise tooling
- ✅ Ability to identify and address process debt affecting engineering productivity
- ✅ Experience delivering incremental process improvements, rather than big-bang transformation

🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Embed with CDS delivery teams to assess current DevOps practices
- Review CI/CD, branching, release cadence, testing gates and review processes
- Identify bottlenecks such as slow feedback loops and manual approval gates
- Assess environment management and engineering process maturity
- Work with teams to remediate process debt incrementally
- Help teams establish processes that support AI-assisted development
- Advise on ways to maximise the value of AI coding assistants and agentic workflows
- Build strong relationships with engineering teams and drive sustainable process change

🎯 Ideal Candidate
A strong DevOps / Software Architect who combines DevOps/SDLC expertise, engineering process improvement, stakeholder management and change experience, with an understanding of AI-enabled software delivery.
