Type: Hourly Contract (Part-Time)
Compensation: $85/hour
About the Opportunity
This opportunity is for experienced DevOps Engineers, Site Reliability Engineers (SREs), and Cloud Engineers interested in contributing to advanced AI research and evaluation projects focused on frontier AI coding models.
The role involves evaluating AI-generated infrastructure implementations, assessing engineering quality, and applying real-world DevOps, cloud, and reliability engineering expertise to improve the performance of next-generation AI coding agents.
No prior AI experience is required. Your infrastructure engineering expertise is the primary qualification for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Use frontier AI coding agents to complete and evaluate complex infrastructure engineering tasks.
- Review AI-generated implementations involving cloud platforms, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, observability, monitoring, and infrastructure automation.
- Identify bugs, edge cases, reliability issues, scalability concerns, and performance bottlenecks.
- Compare outputs from multiple AI coding models and evaluate their technical strengths and weaknesses.
- Apply professional engineering judgment to realistic DevOps, SRE, and cloud engineering scenarios.
- Provide structured technical feedback to improve AI-generated infrastructure solutions.
- Collaborate with technical reviewers to maintain consistent evaluation standards.

Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Engineering.
- Strong experience with one or more major cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
- Experience deploying, operating, and maintaining production-scale infrastructure and distributed systems.
- Regular experience using AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, or similar coding agents.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, automation, reliability engineering, networking, security, and system performance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale production systems.
- Experience with GitOps, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, or similar observability platforms.
- Experience with Linux systems administration, scripting, and automation.
- Familiarity with AI infrastructure, machine learning platforms, or GPU-based deployments is a plus.
- Prior experience with AI model evaluation or code review projects.
Compensation
- Competitive compensation of $85/hour.
- Weekly payments.
