Your new company
You will be joining a secure engineering environment supporting the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of a business-critical platform and its associated services. The role sits within an established engineering team responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, security and performance of systems operating within a secure operational environment.
Your new role
As a DevOps Engineer, you will support platform infrastructure, deployment pipelines and live services across AWS-hosted environments. Working closely with development, support and platform teams, you will help maintain operational stability while contributing to automation, infrastructure improvements and service resilience.
Key responsibilities
- Support AWS-hosted infrastructure and platform services.
- Maintain and develop Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.
- Support Docker-based applications across development, test and production environments.
- Assist with CI/CD pipeline development and support using Jenkins, Groovy and GitLab.
- Monitor platform health, performance and availability using Elastic, Kibana and related tools.
- Investigate and resolve infrastructure, deployment and service-related incidents.
- Support networking technologies including VPNs, OpenVPN, Transit Gateway and API Gateway.
- Maintain NGINX, PostgreSQL and associated platform services.
- Contribute to operational resilience, disaster recovery and service continuity activities.
- Perform platform maintenance, patching and security updates.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes and automation.
- Participate in incident response and on-call support activities.
- Work within established engineering standards, security controls and operational processes.
- Support a 24/7 operational environment and participate in on-call rotas as required.
