We are supporting a government client in hiring a DevOps Engineer to develop CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains using modern tooling, putting automation at the heart of everything they do.
The successful candidates will craft, implement, and enable solutions that are highly available, resilient, scalable, extensible, and maintainable within multiple cloud environments. They will work across product-focused teams to gather requirements, evaluate tools, implement and update solutions, provision environments, and assist with operational issues.

This role suits an experienced DevOps engineer with demonstrable AWS, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD experience, comfortable operating at a senior level within an agile DevOps environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains using modern tooling, with automation at the heart of everything you do
- Design and implement solutions that are highly available, resilient, scalable, extensible, and maintainable within multiple cloud environments
- Write and maintain Infrastructure and Configuration as Code using Terraform and Ansible
- Work across product-focused teams to gather requirements and evaluate tools
- Implement and update solutions, and provision environments
- Assist with operational issues

Essential Skills
- Demonstrable experience developing and supporting AWS cloud-based applications, using EC2 and ECS
- Demonstrable knowledge of writing and maintaining Infrastructure and Configuration as Code, using Terraform and Ansible
- Demonstrable experience of using Unix/Linux/Windows in a support and/or development environment, including scripting languages and implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI
- Demonstrable experience of working in a software or platform engineering agile (Scrum/Kanban) DevOps environment with continuous integration and deployment
- Experience migrating legacy applications to a cloud environment
