Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure/OpenShift)

Role Purpose

  • Azure and ARO/OpenShift administration
  • CI/CD orchestration
  • Kubernetes/OpenShift troubleshooting
  • Infrastructure monitoring/logging
  • Secure delivery practices

Overview

This project is a technical-focused Maximo upgrade and migration programme within the Aerospace & Defence sector.

Technical: This is a Maximo Upgrade + Migration (Lift & Shift) Project
Technical upgrade and database migration of Client's current Maximo 7.6 on Oracle database to MAS 9.x on DB2 database in Azure Cloud
These activities will be a technical 'like for like' upgrade and migration of the current Maximo designs into MAS 9.x, including changes required due to the upgrade and necessary remediations
The start date is 12th October 2026, and the end date is 21st May 2027 (8 months)

  • BPSS is a standard Rolls-Royce requirement
  • SC clearance (or ability to achieve) is a necessity for each resource. e.g 5 years in UK
  • Client will conduct all interviews (not Rolls-Royce). One interview should be sufficient unless a more technical deep dive is required by Practice leaders
  • Hybrid roles- 1-2 days per week onsite in Derby. Expenses will be covered by client.
