We're working with a leading technology consultancy delivering complex digital transformation, cloud and platform engineering projects within highly secure public sector and defence environments.
As an AWS DevOps Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, building and operating scalable cloud platforms, automated deployment pipelines and secure infrastructure solutions. Working in agile delivery teams, you'll contribute across the full project lifecycle, from architecture and implementation to deployment, optimisation, and ongoing support. Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain secure cloud infrastructure within AWS environments
- Develop and operate automated CI/CD pipelines
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions
- Support containerised applications and platform services
- Monitor, maintain and optimise cloud-based systems and services
- Work closely with development teams to improve release processes and platform reliability
- Provide technical guidance on cloud engineering best practices
- Contribute to architecture decisions and platform improvements
- Support agile delivery using Scrum and Kanban methodologies
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering excellence across delivery teams

Required Experience
- Strong experience designing and operating AWS cloud environments
- Expertise in DevOps principles and best practices
- Proven experience with CI/CD tooling and automated deployment pipelines
- Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation or similar)
- Experience with containerisation technologies and Kubernetes-based platforms
- Knowledge of cloud security principles and secure-by-design approaches
- Background delivering solutions within Agile environments
- Experience supporting, mentoring or leading technical team members
- Strong stakeholder communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in highly regulated or secure environments
