🚀 Senior DevOps Engineer | Hertfordshire
Location: Watford
Salary: £51,000
Working Pattern: Primarily office-based
Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:30 - 17:00, Friday 08:30 - 16:30
I'm currently recruiting for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a leading organisation within the education sector that is investing heavily in its technology estate and digital transformation.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in modernising critical IT services that support thousands of staff and students. You'll have genuine influence over architecture, automation and the future direction of DevOps, while working on major technology initiatives including the development of a new enterprise data warehouse.

What you'll be doing:
- Leading the technical direction for DevOps and application services
- Driving automation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Working with Azure DevOps and modern Microsoft technologies
- Supporting SQL Server, MySQL and PostgreSQL environments
- Delivering integrations, upgrades and platform optimisation
- Providing 3rd line support and technical leadership
- Mentoring engineers and helping shape technical best practice
We're looking for someone with experience in:
- Azure DevOps
- SQL Server, MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Application integration and database management
- Microsoft technologies and enterprise applications
- Automation, scripting and CI/CD principles
- Technical leadership and mentoring
