About You

You will be experienced in system configuration, with hands-on experience, demonstrating high levels of responsibility and professionalism. You will have an aptitude to learn, support and maintain services run by the Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence team for a diverse user community. In the role you will exhibit good problem solving/troubleshooting skills, writing documentation and ideally providing training to other team members and users.

You will be expected to participate in technical research and software development to enable continuing innovation and effectively utilise technology to further environmental science. You will possess excellent organisational skills, be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and adapting between proactive and reactive workloads. You will be able to naturally form effective working relationships with staff at all levels, build and maintain long term relationships with stakeholders and suppliers while supporting the delivery of key services and objectives.

Location

This position will be based in Southampton. The centre is well connected by public transport and has ample cycle parking in addition to free onsite car-parking with over 40 EV charging points.
