Job responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a framework for continuous integration environments, driving its adoption and evolution.
  • Automate testing processes and any manual workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Integrate with various trading front office, middle office, and back office systems.
  • Manage release processes, provide environment support, and offer production support as needed.
  • Conduct client, venue certification, and connectivity for various exchanges, markets, and dark pools.
  • Test and validate individual applications and end-to-end integration.
  • Works very closely with stakeholders and clients to update, configure, and change the trading application and downstream peripherals.
  • Carry out Client, Venue Certification and Connectivity for various exchanges/markets/dark pools.
  • Working with various teams including Application Development, Business Analyst & Operations.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced knowledge of programming languages - Unix scripting, Python, and Java programming languages for Automation, Monitoring, and Surveillance.
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
  • Scripting skills to automate day-to-day development and testing and integration tasks (Shell/Perl/Python).
  • Creating and automating Test Strategies/Test Plans based on functional Testing and non-functional requirements and Executing them.
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
  • Practical cloud native experience.
  • Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Electronic trading exposure with knowledge in trading protocols such as FIX is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Equities Trading Stack – Order Management Systems, ALGO, Smart Order Routers, Dark Pools, Equities exchange protocols.
  • Knowledge of kdb/q is a plus.
