Lead DevOps Engineer | London
Our client is a prestigious global investment firm recognised for its world-class technology platform and engineering culture. They are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to become the key infrastructure and DevOps presence within their London office, supporting critical trading and business systems across global markets.
This is an opportunity to step beyond a traditional DevOps role and take genuine ownership of infrastructure, automation and cloud platforms. You'll work closely with engineering teams and senior stakeholders, driving DevOps best practices, influencing technical decisions, and helping shape the future of the firm's technology environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and enhance the firm's DevOps ecosystem, including CI/CD, infrastructure automation and platform tooling
- Drive DevOps best practices across deployment, release management and operational processes
- Automate and optimise Linux infrastructure, ensuring scalability, resilience and performance
- Build and improve cloud-based DevOps solutions across AWS, Kubernetes and containerised environments
- Partner closely with engineering teams to streamline delivery, automation and platform reliability

Key Skills
- Strong background in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE or Infrastructure Engineering
- Deep Linux administration and automation experience
- Strong scripting skills with Python, Bash or PowerShell
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Puppet or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions
- Strong Kubernetes, Docker and cloud experience, ideally AWS
- A proactive mindset, excellent communication skills and a genuine ownership mentality
