DevOps / Platform Engineer

Our client is an innovative SaaS provider that supports healthcare professionals across the UK. They're looking for a DevOps / Platform Engineer to help shape and evolve the underlying platform that powers their products and services.

This is not a traditional operational DevOps role. They're seeking an engineer with a strong development, platform engineering, or SRE mindset who can take emerging product requirements and design scalable, automated, and resilient platform solutions to support future growth.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team where you'll have a direct impact on platform architecture, reliability, automation, and long-term technical direction.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design, build, and evolve the platform infrastructure that supports business-critical applications and services.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to understand new features and determine the most effective way to support, scale, and operate them.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and automation frameworks.
  • Drive platform scalability, reliability, and performance through engineering best practices and SRE principles.
  • Architect and implement solutions that improve developer experience, deployment efficiency, and platform resilience.
  • Enhance Kubernetes-based environments, ensuring they can support future growth and evolving business requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
