About the Role
Engineering delivery of centralized capability within Ansible & Harness products
Highly skilled Platform Engineer to design, build, automate, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure platforms that enable development teams to deliver applications efficiently. The role focuses on cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, DevOps practices, platform reliability, security, and developer experience.
Your Profile
Essential Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Advanced Harness Administration: Deep practical experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Harness (CD & CI) at scale. Must include experience with pipeline-as-code & template management.
- Enterprise Ansible Automation: Proven expertise writing robust, reusable Ansible Playbooks, Roles, and Collections. Strong experience managing enterprise configurations via Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) and Ansible Core, including inventory management, execution environments, and RBAC of centralised instances.
- Shared Services Management: Demonstrated track record of delivering, scaling, and maintaining CI/CD and automation tools including Harness / Ansible as a centralized service for wide consumption across multiple engineering teams (1000+ developers).
- "Platform-as-a-Product" Mindset: Experience treating internal tooling as a product, including gathering developer requirements & creating clear documentation.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Solid understanding of Docker and Kubernetes for deploying, scaling, and managing Ansible execution environments.
- Security & Compliance: Experience integrating security guardrails into central pipelines (e.g., secrets management via HashiCorp Vault, role-based access control, and automated compliance scanning).
- API & Integration Skills: Experience extending the capabilities of Harness and Ansible by integrating them via APIs with other enterprise tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, GitHub/GitLab, Monitoring tools).
