DevOps Security

Permanent | £95,000 + Bonus + Extensive Benefits
Location: UK | Hybrid

We’re partnering with a technology-driven business in the gaming sector to appoint a DevOps Security professional during a major cloud and technology transformation.

This is an excellent opportunity to work at the heart of secure engineering, protecting cloud environments, applications and delivery pipelines while supporting fast-paced innovation.

We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience across DevOps, Platform Engineering or DevSecOps, alongside strong cloud security knowledge and hands-on expertise in Terraform, AWS and Azure.

The Opportunity

In this role, you’ll work closely with engineering, product and security teams to embed security throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring cloud infrastructure and applications remain protected as the business evolves.

This is a hands-on technical position, combining vulnerability management, automation and secure solution design. You’ll strengthen security controls, improve remediation processes and help teams deliver secure, scalable solutions across large-scale cloud transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll play a key role in strengthening security across the business by:

  • Identifying, prioritising and resolving vulnerabilities across cloud platforms, applications, containers and CI/CD environments.
  • Working closely with Cyber Defence, SOC and Security teams to respond to emerging threats and incidents.
  • Integrating security tooling into development pipelines, including container, dependency and secret scanning.
  • Strengthening infrastructure security across AWS and Azure using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code best practices.
  • Automating remediation, compliance checks and policy enforcement through cloud-native tooling and policy-as-code approaches.
  • Supporting secure solution design and threat modelling across engineering teams.
  • Owning and improving vulnerability management processes, ensuring remediation targets are achieved.
  • Configuring and maintaining cloud security controls, including IAM, logging, monitoring, WAFs and key management.
  • Producing technical documentation, remediation guidance and operational runbooks.
  • Partnering with product and engineering teams to promote secure-by-design development standards.
  • Helping define and enforce governance and security policies across cloud environments.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
