DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer at 1X2 Network

1X2 Network, the multi-award winning iGaming supplier, is looking for a DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer. This is an opportunity to join a highly creative, rapidly expanding independent software company.

With a portfolio of over 150 titles spanning Virtual Sports, Table Games, Slots, Instant Win and upcoming Multiplayer games, we work with more than 250 globally recognised operators including Bet365, BetVictor and Entain (Ladbrokes, Coral, bwin and more).

Several brands form the wider 1X2 Network, each focused on delivering unique gaming experiences across different market sectors. Our key brands include Iron Dog Studio and 1X2gaming, alongside a broad network of development and distribution partners.

The business operates across multiple international locations, with UK offices in Brighton and Brentwood, alongside offices in Malta and Hyderabad, supported by remote employees across the globe.

The Role

We are seeking a talented DevOps and Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. Your role will involve building, maintaining, and enhancing our production in alignment with our company's strategic objectives, with a strong focus on availability, reliability, security and configuration automation. You'll provide crucial support to various teams, ensuring the resilience and high availability of our systems. Your expertise in Linux OS, infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, and container technologies will be instrumental. If you're excited about technology, thrive in a high-performance environment, and possess a deep understanding of modern tech stacks, we'd love to have you on board.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines in line with company strategies.
  • Automate infrastructure and configuration as much as possible.
  • Provide support to different teams such as DBA and DEV.
  • Maintain and build resilient and highly available infrastructures.
  • Build, maintain, and improve IaC.
  • Assist in testing pipelines and automation.
  • Maintain and improve monitoring systems.
  • Participate in learning sessions.
  • Be part of a tech-growing team and show passion for technologies and an ambition to learn and grow attitude.
  • Be an active role in the team.
  • Work in an agile way, providing visibility to work and outcomes.
  • Monitor system performance and optimize infrastructure for efficiency and reliability.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Knowledge and experience of Linux OS (CentOS, Debian).
  • Understanding of infrastructure automation concepts and best practices.
  • Experience with different deployment strategies such as red/green, canary, shadow, to ensure stability during the process of adding features.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Bitbucket pipeline, Jenkins.
  • Experience on cloud platforms (AWS) and the ability to work with and understand and support different types of architectures (Event-driven, Monolith, Microservices).
  • Experience with proxy, load balancing, networking going through each layer of the ISO/OSI stack.
  • Solid hands-on experience of container and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with tools like Argocd, Helm, Istio.
  • Knowledge of IaC tools such as Terraform.
  • Experience with configuration automation tools such as Ansible and bash scripting.
  • Experience working in a high-performance/high-availability environment.
  • Knowledge of working with message brokers such as Kafka.
  • Understanding of in-memory data structure store/cache systems such as Redis.
  • Hands-on knowledge of monitoring and analytical systems such as the Grafana/Prometheus/Loki and VictoriaLogs, VictoriaMetrics.
  • Understanding of security best practices.
  • Understanding how to build and deploy Java applications.
  • Hands-on experience with the Tomcat web server.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
