A wonderful opportunity has arisen to be part of the dynamic Integrated Community Diabetes Service.
The administration assistant will provide an essential clerical support service to the ICDS Team. They will be mainly based with the nursing team contributing to the overall efficient and effective running of the department. An essential part of the role will be to provide administrative support to the nursing team.
The post holder will be working and liaising as part of a team with other administrators, nurses, dietitians and educators across North and South Bedfordshire.
The post holder will be responsible for the day to day administration of Community Diabetes service across North and South Bedfordshire. This will include the co-ordination of the Diabetes Structured Education, waiting lists for face to face and virtual education sessions.
To ensure all patients are accurately registered onto SystmOne, the Trust’s Patient Information system (PiMS) and Diamond in accordance with national and local guidelines.
To liaise with patients, carers and health care professionals, sending appointments and documents to patients, organising translators and organising medical notes/referrals.
