About the Role
The post holder will support the Lead DSN in leading the Diabetes Nursing team and service, demonstrating enthusiasm and a commitment to further developing their knowledge and skills. They will share the team’s vision and be proactive in contributing to service development projects aimed at improving patient care.
Requirements
You will have specific experience of clinical leadership, possess enthusiasm and determination to improve the quality of patient centred care, service delivery and service team projects.
- Experience of managing and developing a team
- Completing staff appraisals
- Sickness monitoring
- Roster management
The successful candidate must possess advanced diabetes knowledge and experience looking after people with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, either in an acute or primary care setting.
- An autonomous practitioner able to deliver level 4 and level 5 diabetes service, including both inpatient and outpatient care
- Self-motivated, organised and capable of adapting to the changing needs of the service
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
- Computer literate and preferably familiar using SystmOne and EPR

About the Company
