The post holder will be part of the Maternity Diabetes Specialist Service providing Diabetes Care and Management to pregnant women/people and their family.
This is a dynamic post that requires the post holder to work closely with multi-disciplinary team in addressing a range of care to women/people with Diabetes in pregnancy with special interest in Insulin Pump for Type 1 Diabetes and Gestational Diabetes, preventing unnecessary hospital admissions and improving the health and wellbeing of women and their babies.
Role Requirements
- Be competent as appropriate to the requirements of the role of Diabetes Specialist Nurse.
- Demonstrate at all times the Trust Values.
- Be a Registered First Level Nurse with current NMC Registration and have a detailed professional and clinical knowledge. They will be a specialist practitioner and have a focus in Diabetes care with good knowledge of technological advances in Diabetes.
- Be responsible for a defined population of service users in a variety of settings across the Chelsea and Westminster Foundation Trust. (This role is based at West Middlesex Site, not cross site)
