Diagnostic Technician - Walton Audi
Location: Walton Audi
Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday–Friday, plus a 5-hour Saturday morning on a rota basis.
About The Role
As a Diagnostics Technician at Walton Audi, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical, electrical and electronic faults, using the latest Audi diagnostic equipment and manufacturer technology.
You’ll work alongside an experienced aftersales team, ensuring vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently and to the highest manufacturer standards. Ongoing training and development will help you stay up to date with the latest automotive technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
- Use manufacturer-approved diagnostic equipment and systems.
- Carry out repairs, component replacements, coding and software updates.
- Inspect vehicles and identify additional faults or safety issues.
- Complete accurate diagnostic and repair documentation.
- Follow Audi manufacturer procedures and health & safety standards.
- Work closely with Service Advisors and other Technicians.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service.

About You
We’re looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician with strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills. You’ll be methodical, technically minded and confident working independently as well as part of a team.
Audi or Volkswagen Group experience would be advantageous, although strong diagnostic experience with another manufacturer will also be considered.
Ideally, You Will Have
- Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (Level 2 may be considered).
- Strong diagnostic and electrical knowledge.
- Experience using diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
