The Role

The Conservative Party is seeking a highly organised, enthusiastic, and politically astute individual to join the diary team in the Private Office of The Leader of His Majesty’s Most Loyal Opposition. This is an exciting professional opportunity to work at the heart of the Conservative Party and support our responsibilities as the Official Opposition.

Success is prioritising good use of limited time; diary management is not an administrative task but a strategic one. No two days are the same in this role. Politics does not operate on a typical 9-to-5/Monday-to-Friday schedule, and this position requires a flexible and responsive approach to meet the everyday demands of this fast-paced environment. This is primarily an office-based role in Westminster, Central London.

This role requires a calm individual under pressure, who is focused on delivering high-quality support whilst maintaining confidentiality, has a positive can-do attitude coupled with being proactive, reliable, with attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently coordinate relationships at the highest levels.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
