Job Title: Die & Tooling Co-ordinator
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £30,000
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:15am–4:00pm; Friday, 7:15am–2:15pm
We are recruiting a Die & Tooling Co-ordinator to manage the dies, collars and press tooling used in production. Reporting to Supervisor, you will coordinate deliveries and refurbishment, maintain accurate records and ensure the minting team knows which dies are ready for use.
What you’ll be doing
- Recording die and tooling receipts, issues and stock movements, including supporting images.
- Reviewing delivery schedules for new and refurbished dies and advising suppliers of production priorities.
- Inspecting incoming dies for defects in finish and arranging further refurbishment where needed.
- Coordinating the stripping, refurbishment, capping and storage of dies.
- Monitoring die life and coin finish, and raising any performance concerns.
- Archiving dies that have reached their mintage limit or can no longer be refurbished, arranging for them to be defaced and informing Minting and Sales.
- Maintaining collar and press tooling records and ordering replacements.
- Updating the plant maintenance schedule and helping to collect production performance data.
