Role Description
The Dieline Specialist will create, refine, and maintain accurate packaging dielines and technical drawings for a wide range of products, ensuring they are production-ready and align with brand and manufacturing standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Collaborating with designers, product developers, and print suppliers to interpret design concepts into precise structural layouts
- Optimizing dielines for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and print quality
- Checking and updating artwork placement, bleed, and safety areas
- Managing file versions
- Preparing print-ready files according to supplier specifications
- Troubleshooting structural or print-related issues
- Recommending improvements to packaging formats
- Supporting documentation of technical standards and guidelines

This is a remote, contract role, requiring regular communication with the wider team and suppliers in different locations.
Qualifications
- Strong technical packaging skills, including dieline creation, structural design for cartons or boxes, and understanding of print and finishing processes.
- Proficiency with design and layout software such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and other relevant packaging or CAD tools.
- Experience working with printers and manufacturers, including interpreting and applying technical specifications, tolerances, and material requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong skills in checking artwork alignment, dimensions, bleed, safety areas, and file accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with design, product, and operations teams in a remote environment.
- Strong organizational skills, including version control, file naming conventions, and managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Prior experience in consumer products, toys, publishing, or FMCG packaging is highly beneficial.
- Relevant education or training in packaging design, graphic design, industrial design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
