Dietetic Assistant Practitioner
We are looking for a Dietetic Assistant Practitioner to join our forward-thinking dietetic team.
You will be involved in providing part of the Dietetic Service with a variety of patients. This is a new role that will support an existing rotational specialist team who cover acute nutrition support, gastroenterology, and upper/lower GI surgery.
You will be provided with regular supervision and CPD opportunities in order to develop your clinical skills. We are committed to improving our patient experience and clinical dietetic pathways and there will be opportunities to be involved with both current and new projects within the team.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to undertake various tasks. You will need to have a flexible approach to work being able to adapt and prioritize according to the needs of the team.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for a patient caseload under the supervision of a Registered dietitian
- Liaise with members of the MDT to coordinate and support the nutritional care of patients on the caseload
- Provide additional administrative support to manage the dietetic caseload, helping to ensure that the patient pathways are maintained and appropriate care is delivered.
