The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated dietitian to be the clinical dietetic lead for Neurosciences, Spinal and Major Trauma dietetic service within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. The successful candidate will provide advanced clinical expertise in neurosciences dietetics whilst leading and line managing a team of specialist and advanced practice dietitians in neurosciences, spinal and major trauma.
Working Within a Shared Caseload Model, You Will
- Manage a complex clinical caseload of neurosciences inpatients across Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and Inverclyde Royal Hospital
- Undertake advanced nutritional assessment and deliver evidence-based interventions for patients with complex needs
- Coordinate patient care across acute, rehabilitation, and community settings, ensuring safe and effective transitions
- Provide clinical leadership and line management to the neurosciences, spinal & trauma dietitians
- Support service development, quality improvement, and innovation within specialist areas
- Promote multidisciplinary working and contribute to regional service delivery
The dietetic service supports practice placements, and you will contribute to B and C placement dietetic students.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.
This is a permanent, part-time post of 28 hours per week.
The role is based at QEUH, 1345 Govan Road, G51 4TF.
The shift pattern is 4 days out of 7.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
You must hold a BSc/MSc in Dietetics, be HCPC registered, and have post-graduate clinical experience in nutrition support and acute rehabilitation. PVG Scheme membership is required.
