Digital Account Manager (Independent, full service agency)

Salary: £35,000 per annum
Location: Manchester
Working pattern: Hybrid – 3 set days in the office, 2 days working from home
Employment type: Permanent

The Opportunity

We are working with a growing independent media and digital agency looking to hire a Digital Account Manager to join its expanding team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven digital marketer who wants to combine hands-on paid media campaign management with client ownership, strategy, and new-business pitching.

You will manage a portfolio of clients, taking responsibility for their digital strategy and paid media activity across multiple platforms. The role offers genuine end-to-end ownership, from interpreting a brief and shaping the strategy through to campaign activation, optimisation, reporting, and recommendations.

A key part of this hire is finding someone who is confident presenting digital strategy and contributing to new-business pitches and tender presentations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimise paid media campaigns across Google Ads and Meta, alongside other platforms where relevant.
  • Act as the day-to-day digital contact for a portfolio of clients.
  • Build strong client relationships and develop a clear understanding of commercial objectives.
  • Translate client briefs into effective, data-led digital strategies.
  • Manage campaign budgets, pacing, performance, and ongoing optimisation.
  • Analyse campaign data and turn insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Lead client reporting and performance meetings.
  • Identify opportunities to improve results, test new approaches, and grow client accounts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across digital, content, social, and wider media channels.
  • Contribute to new-business pitches, proposals, and tender presentations.
  • Stay up to date with developments across paid media platforms, technology, and performance marketing.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
