About the Role
Wex is looking for a commercially driven Digital Acquisition Manager to lead our customer acquisition strategy and help accelerate the next stage of our digital growth.
Reporting to the Marketing Director, you'll own acquisition performance across key digital channels, leading campaigns that deliver measurable growth in traffic, revenue, and customer lifetime value. You'll combine strategic thinking with hands-on optimisation, using data to identify opportunities, improve performance, and maximise return on investment.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced performance marketer who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, and working collaboratively across a fast-paced ecommerce business.
Key Responsibilities
Acquisition Strategy & Performance
- Own the performance and profitability of customer acquisition across affiliate, social, paid search and display channels.
- Manage acquisition budgets, optimising investment to maximise growth, ROAS and commercial return.
- Develop and execute acquisition strategies that support wider business objectives and growth plans.
- Build and manage relationships with affiliate networks, publishers and acquisition partners, ensuring strong performance, compliance and alignment with marketing campaigns and product launches.
- Lead performance reporting, analysing channel effectiveness, conversion, traffic and revenue to identify opportunities and implement continuous improvements.
- Identify opportunities to improve acquisition through automation, feed optimisation, tooling or technical enhancements.

Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Brand, SEO, Product and CRM teams to deliver integrated customer journeys across all acquisition touchpoints.
- Support wider business initiatives by identifying opportunities to acquire, reactivate and grow high-value customer segments.
- Coordinate promotional activity across channels, ensuring messaging, offers and creative assets remain consistent across partners and the Wex website.
Leadership
- Line manages two direct reports, providing coaching, direction and accountability for performance and development.
- Drive continuous improvement within the Digital Acquisition team, enhancing processes, workflows and ways of working.
- Foster a test-and-learn culture, encouraging experimentation and data-led decision making.
Market & Industry Insight
- Monitor competitor activity, emerging technologies and industry trends, ensuring Wex continues to evolve its acquisition strategy and remains ahead of market developments.
Skills & Experience
We're looking for someone who combines strong commercial awareness with deep performance marketing expertise.
Essential
- 5+ years' experience managing performance marketing, affiliate, partnerships or paid media channels within an ecommerce or digital environment.
- Proven track record of delivering profitable customer acquisition and measurable commercial growth.
- Strong understanding of performance metrics including ROAS, CPA, conversion rate, attribution and customer acquisition cost.
- Experience using analytics and reporting platforms such as Google Analytics (GA4), Looker, affiliate platforms and similar reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn insight into action.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident managing multiple stakeholders and working cross-functionally across marketing, ecommerce and product teams.

Desirable
- Previous people management or mentoring experience.
- Experience working with product feeds, automation or marketing technology.
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in Marketing, Business or a related discipline.

This is the lead role responsible for acquisition performance marketing across Wex.
Location
- Hybrid role based in London.
- Employees are expected to work from the London office three days per week during core business hours.
