PDG Advertising

PDG Advertising is looking for a commercially minded, organised and proactive Paid Advertising Account Manager to manage relationships with a portfolio of clients advertising across platforms including Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn and other digital channels.

This is not a hands-on media buying role.

Your responsibility is to own the client relationship and help make sure every account is moving towards the client's commercial goals.

You will work closely with our Paid Ads Managers and specialists, turning client objectives into clear actions, keeping projects moving, monitoring performance and ensuring clients always know what is happening, what we are doing next and why.

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with clients, understands business, communicates naturally and takes ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Client Relationship Management

You will be the main point of contact for your clients and responsible for building strong, long-term relationships.

That means:

  • Developing a genuine understanding of each client's business, products, customers and commercial objectives.
  • Building trust and rapport rather than simply providing updates.
  • Communicating proactively with clients through calls, meetings, email and messaging.
  • Understanding what matters most to each client and keeping the team focused on it.
  • Managing expectations clearly and professionally.
  • Identifying concerns before they become problems.
  • Making clients feel that their account is being actively managed rather than simply maintained.

Commercial & Performance Ownership

We believe great account management starts with understanding how the client makes money.

You will:

  • Understand the client's primary commercial goals.
  • Know the key numbers that determine whether advertising is working.
  • Understand agreed advertising budgets and expected spend.
  • Monitor performance against those expectations.
  • Work with Paid Ads Managers to identify what needs to improve, change or scale.
  • Make sure poor performance results in action rather than drift.
  • Identify opportunities to grow successful accounts.
  • Keep the conversation focused on business outcomes, not vanity metrics.

You do not need to be the person physically building every campaign, but you should understand paid advertising well enough to confidently discuss performance, strategy and next steps.

Account Planning

Every client should have a clear direction.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You will be responsible for ensuring:

  • Each account has clear objectives.
  • Budgets are understood and monitored.
  • The next actions required to move the account forward are documented.
  • Tasks have clear owners and deadlines.
  • Actions from meetings, emails and conversations are captured.
  • Paid Ads Managers know what is expected of them.
  • Client requests are followed through to completion.
  • Conversion tracking and measurement are considered before advertising activity begins.
  • Accounts don't drift without a plan.

You should be able to open any client account and quickly explain:

  • What are we trying to achieve?
  • How are we performing?
  • What is the budget?
  • What's working?
  • What's not working?
  • What are we doing next?

Working With Paid Ads Managers

You'll work closely with our Paid Ads Managers, who are responsible for the technical execution and optimisation of campaigns.

Your role is to connect their work with the client's wider objectives.

You will:

  • Provide clear briefs and priorities.
  • Make sure they have the information and assets they need.
  • Review performance with them.
  • Challenge strategy constructively when necessary.
  • Ensure agreed actions are completed.
  • Translate technical advertising activity into meaningful client communication.
  • Help prioritise activity according to commercial impact.

This is a collaborative relationship, but the Account Manager ultimately owns the overall client experience.

Reporting & Client Meetings

Reporting should create decisions and actions, not simply describe what happened.

You will:

  • Prepare for client meetings with a clear understanding of performance.
  • Lead regular client calls.
  • Explain results clearly without unnecessary jargon.
  • Identify positive and negative trends.
  • Discuss opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Agree next actions with the client.
  • Follow up and make sure those actions happen.

Clients should finish meetings feeling confident that we understand their business and know exactly what we're doing next.

What We're Looking For

We'd love to hear from someone who:

  • Has experience in account management, digital marketing, paid advertising or a similar client-facing role.
  • Is naturally good with people and enjoys building relationships.
  • Is commercially minded and interested in how businesses make money.
  • Understands the fundamentals of Google Ads, Meta Ads and digital marketing.
  • Is highly organised and comfortable managing multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Communicates clearly and confidently.
  • Notices when something isn't moving and takes action.
  • Is comfortable discussing budgets, performance and commercial targets.
  • Can turn conversations into clear actions.
  • Takes ownership of problems rather than passing them elsewhere.
  • Is curious and willing to learn about different industries and businesses.
  • Can work independently while collaborating effectively with a wider team.

The Kind of Person Who Will Thrive Here

You'll probably enjoy this role if your natural instinct is:

"Leave it with me. I'll get it sorted."

We're looking for someone who doesn't need to be constantly reminded to follow up, update a task or check whether something happened.

If a client mentions something important during a meeting, you capture it.

If performance isn't where it should be, you investigate it.

If something is overdue, you chase it.

If a client seems unhappy, you don't ignore it.

If something is working exceptionally well, you look at how we can build on it.

Great account management is about ownership, communication, commercial awareness and follow-through.

What Success Looks Like

A successful Paid Advertising Account Manager at PDG Advertising will:

  • Build strong relationships with their clients.
  • Retain clients for the long term.
  • Understand every client's goals and commercial priorities.
  • Keep accounts organised and moving forward.
  • Ensure budgets and performance are actively monitored.
  • Make sure clients always have clear next actions.
  • Work effectively with Paid Ads Managers and specialists.
  • Spot risks early.
  • Identify opportunities for growth.
  • Reduce the amount of day-to-day intervention required from senior management.

Most importantly, your clients should feel that someone capable is genuinely looking after their business.

Why Join PDG Advertising?

We've built the business around doing excellent work, understanding our clients properly and developing relationships that last.
