Nobilia UK and Kutchenhaus continue to grow, and we're looking for a motivated and curious Digital & AI Support Technician Apprentice to join our IT team in Rochdale.

About the Role

You'll be the first point of contact for colleagues requiring IT support and will play an important role in helping the business adopt and maximise the benefits of digital and AI technologies. Working alongside experienced IT professionals, you'll gain exposure to a wide range of technologies including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, service management platforms and AI-powered tools such as Microsoft Copilot.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing first-line IT support for hardware, software and digital tool enquiries
  • Supporting colleagues across our head office and showroom network with the effective use of approved AI tools and technologies
  • Assisting with the setup, deployment and maintenance of laptops, mobile devices and user accounts
  • Supporting employee onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Creating and maintaining user guides, knowledge articles and IT documentation
  • Monitoring IT systems and escalating incidents where required
  • Working with third-party IT providers and helping track service performance
  • Supporting digital transformation and AI implementation projects across the UK business
  • Maintaining accurate records within our IT service management platform
  • Applying information security best practices and supporting GDPR compliance
  • Collaborating with colleagues in both the UK and Nobilia Group IT teams

What You'll Learn

Through your apprenticeship and day-to-day responsibilities, you'll develop skills in:

  • IT service support and troubleshooting
  • Microsoft technologies and endpoint management
  • Cyber security and data protection
  • Digital communications and collaboration tools
  • AI-assisted working practices and business applications
  • Digital transformation project support

What We're Looking For

  • An interest in technology, digital tools and AI
  • Familiarity with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to tasks
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • A willingness to learn and work within established processes
  • A positive, professional and customer-focused approach

We're more interested in attitude, enthusiasm and potential than previous professional experience.

Entry Requirements

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject.
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above).
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject.
  • You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
  • If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working Hours

  • 37.5 hours per week, shifts between 8am - 6pm.
  • Initially you will work 5 days per week in the office, moving to 4 days and 1 from home following probation.
