Digital Analytics Lead

The Digital Analytics Lead is responsible for leading the Digital Analytics squad, enabling the business to understand, measure, and improve client experiences and commercial outcomes across digital and non-digital touchpoints. This role partners closely with journey tribes, Product, Digital, and Marketing teams to deliver insight, measurement frameworks, and actionable analysis that drive better decision-making. It owns the design and delivery of digital measurement, tagging strategies, data models, dashboards, and advanced analysis, ensuring analytics is embedded as a core capability across HL.

The role leads, coaches, and develops a team of Digital Analysts, building strong analytical capability and promoting self-service through high-quality dashboarding, clear data products, and stakeholder education. It plays a key role within the Data Activation & Digital Analytics function, ensuring analytics supports experimentation, personalisation, and optimisation initiatives delivered through the wider data and martech ecosystem. The Digital Analytics Lead keeps abreast of industry trends in analytics tooling, data collection strategies, and analytical techniques, shaping the evolution of HL's analytics capabilities and ensuring we continue to use best-in-class approaches and technologies.

What you will be doing

  • Lead the Digital Analytics team to deliver consistent, high-quality insight across digital journeys, marketing activity, and wider client touchpoints.
  • Own digital measurement strategy, including event design, tagging frameworks, data quality standards, and governance across web, app, and adjacent platforms.
  • Ensure comprehensive and comparable coverage of client and prospect journeys, aligning analytics outputs to downstream needs such as reporting, experimentation, activation, and modelling.
  • Deliver dashboards and data products that enable self-service analytics for journey tribes and stakeholders, reducing reliance on ad-hoc analysis while increasing insight adoption.
  • Provide deep-dive and advanced analysis across digital and non-digital data to diagnose issues, uncover opportunities, and inform prioritisation and investment decisions.
  • Partner closely with Digital, Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to embed analytics into delivery cycles, experimentation frameworks, and roadmap planning.
  • Own analytics implementation and configuration across core tools (e.g. Snowflake, Amplitude Analytics, Qualtrics, and related platforms), and partners with Data Engineering to turn them into downstream data products.
  • Expand and integrate qualitative and behavioural data (e.g. surveys, feedback, session replay) to complement quantitative insight and provide a holistic view of client experience.
  • Coach and develop the Digital Analytics team, setting clear standards, building capability across analysis, data storytelling, and tooling, and supporting career progression.
  • Shape analytics ways of working, including backlog prioritisation, stakeholder intake, and delivery cadence aligned to journey tribe outcomes.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends in digital analytics, tooling, privacy-aware measurement, and skills development, proactively evolving HL's analytics approach.
  • Ensure analytics practices align with architectural, security, and regulatory standards, working closely with Privacy and Risk to support compliant measurement and insight.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
