Digital Analytics Lead
Remote - 1x a quarter travel to London (Must be UK-based)
Up to £56,000

The Company
They are a well-established organisation with a significant digital presence and a strong focus on data-driven decision making. Their Digital, Data and Technology function plays a key role in delivering impactful digital experiences and continuous improvement across websites, campaigns, and digital products.
Working within a collaborative analytics team, you'll partner closely with product, marketing, content, SEO, BI, data science and development teams. This is an environment where analytical thinking, innovation, and continuous learning are encouraged.
The Role
As the Digital Analytics Lead, you will act as the bridge between business objectives, technical implementation, and actionable insight.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading digital measurement strategy across websites, campaigns, digital products and customer journeys.
- Designing measurement frameworks, KPI structures, event taxonomies and tracking strategies.
- Translating business requirements into technical analytics specifications for delivery teams and external agencies.
- Taking ownership of digital analytics implementation across GA4, Google Tag Manager and associated technologies.
- Auditing and improving data layers, identifying tracking gaps, and defining implementation requirements.
- Providing hands-on leadership across QA, governance, troubleshooting and tracking design.
- Delivering insight and customer journey analysis that drives business decisions and optimisation opportunities.
- Managing analytics agency relationships and supporting procurement activity where required.
- Line managing and developing a Digital Analytics Implementation Specialist.
- Championing best practice across privacy, consent management, data quality and analytics governance.

Your Skills & Experience
You will have:
- Strong commercial experience in digital analytics and measurement strategy.
- Hands-on expertise with GA4, Google Tag Manager, event tracking, QA and analytics governance.
- Proven experience auditing, designing and implementing data layer requirements.
- Experience creating technical briefs and requirements for developers and web agencies.
- Strong understanding of customer journey analysis and digital performance measurement.
- Experience translating business objectives into measurable KPIs and reporting frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- The ability to work autonomously and confidently lead technical analytics initiatives.

Desirable experience includes:
- Custom JavaScript and advanced GTM implementations.
- BigQuery and analytics data environments.
- Product analytics experience.
- Consent management platforms and privacy-focused measurement approaches.
- Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, SQL or related analytics technologies.
