Digital Tagging Manager

The Digital Tagging Manager supports the collection of high quality digital data from HL's digital front ends by helping to specify, implement, validate, and distribute event level data using Google Tag Manager (GTM). Working closely with the Senior Digital Tagging Manager, Digital Analytics, and Data Activation teams, this role ensures that tracking is implemented accurately, consistently, and in line with agreed measurement frameworks.

The role plays a key part in translating tracking requirements into robust GTM implementations that support analytics, experimentation, and advertising use cases. The Digital Tagging Manager is curious and proactive, contributing ideas for improving data collection and coverage, while understanding the importance of privacy by design, consent, and disciplined data collection methodology in a regulated environment.

What you will be doing

  • Implement and maintain digital tracking across web and app front ends using Google Tag Manager.
  • Support the specification of event tracking requirements for analytics, experimentation, and advertising use cases.
  • Configure tags, triggers, and variables in GTM in line with agreed data layer and measurement standards.
  • Validate data collection through testing, debugging, and QA to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support the distribution of collected data to downstream tools (e.g. analytics, activation, media platforms).
  • Work closely with Senior Digital Tagging Manager to improve data collection coverage and consistency.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Analytics, and Activation teams to embed tagging into delivery processes.
  • Identify tracking gaps, issues, or risks, escalating where appropriate with clear evidence.
  • Adhere to data privacy, consent, and regulatory requirements, ensuring tagging implementations follow approved patterns.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
