Position Summary
The DAM Systems Manager is responsible for defining, governing, and optimising the organisation's Digital Asset Management (DAM) ecosystem, ensuring brand assets are managed efficiently, consistently, and compliantly across the business.
Reporting into the Marketing Operations, Digital Enablement, or Brand Operations function, this role leads the strategic and operational management of the DAM platform, driving adoption, governance, and continuous improvement across content and asset workflows. The role plays a critical part in enabling teams to create, manage, distribute, and access approved content efficiently while ensuring alignment to brand, legal, and business requirements.
The DAM Systems Manager works closely with Brand, Consumer Engagement, Content & Owned Strategy, Influencer & PR, GTM & Trade, Retail Experience, Online, Creative Operations, IT, and Global teams to establish best practices, optimise workflows, and maximise the value of digital content assets. This role requires a highly collaborative and systems-oriented leader with strong stakeholder management capability, operational excellence, and a passion for digital transformation.
What This Role Does
DAM Strategy & Governance (20%)
- Define and implement the DAM governance framework, standards, and operating model across the organisation.
- Establish and maintain metadata, taxonomy, asset lifecycle, and content governance standards.
- Develop and evolve DAM policies and best practices to ensure consistency, compliance, and scalability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance content accessibility, efficiency, and asset utilisation.
Platform Ownership & Optimisation (20%)
- Own the day-to-day management, optimisation, and evolution of the DAM platform.
- Partner with technology teams and external vendors to manage system enhancements, upgrades, and integrations.
- Identify opportunities to improve user experience, automation, and workflow efficiency.
- Lead DAM-related projects and roadmap initiatives aligned with business priorities.

Stakeholder Management & Adoption (25%)
- Act as the primary DAM subject matter expert across the organisation.
- Build strong partnerships with marketing, creative, commercial, and global stakeholders to drive adoption and effective use of the platform.
- Lead change management initiatives and champion DAM best practices across teams.
- Deliver training, onboarding, and user support to ensure consistent utilisation of DAM capabilities.
Content Operations & Workflow Management (25%)
- Support the development and optimisation of content workflows across asset creation, approval, storage, and distribution processes.
- Ensure assets are accurately tagged, maintained, and archived in accordance with governance standards.
- Collaborate with Content, Consumer Engagement, and Creative Operations teams to support efficient content delivery and activation.
- Drive alignment between local and global asset management processes.
Reporting, Analytics & Continuous Improvement (10%)
- Monitor DAM performance, adoption, asset utilisation, and user engagement metrics.
- Develop reporting frameworks and dashboards to measure platform effectiveness and business impact.
- Gather stakeholder feedback and business requirements to inform future platform development.
- Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tagging, search, and content management capabilities.
What This Role Does

- Develops and maintains the frameworks, standards, and processes that ensure effective management of digital assets across the organisation.
- Owns the DAM Platform & Roadmap
- Leads the optimisation, enhancement, and continuous evolution of the DAM ecosystem to meet business and user needs.
- Enables Efficient Content Operations
- Supports teams in managing, accessing, and activating content through streamlined workflows and effective asset governance.
- Drives User Adoption & Change Management
- Builds DAM capability across the organisation through training, support, and stakeholder engagement.
- Optimises Content & Asset Workflows
- Identifies opportunities to improve operational efficiency, automation, and content management processes.
- Delivers Data-Led Platform Improvement
- Uses platform analytics, user feedback, and business insights to continuously enhance DAM performance and value.

What You Will Need to Be Successful in This Role
- Significant experience managing Digital Asset Management platforms, content operations, or marketing technology systems.
- Strong understanding of metadata, taxonomy, governance, and digital content lifecycle management.
- Experience defining and implementing DAM operating models, standards, and best practices.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across multiple business functions.
- Experience leading change management, training, and user adoption initiatives.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience interpreting platform performance and usage metrics.
- Experience working with system integrations and broader marketing technology ecosystems.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-focused solutions.
- Luxury, beauty, fashion, retail, or premium consumer brand experience beneficial
