Digital Communications & Fundraising Officer
Merrifield Consultants are delighted to partner with Framework Housing Association to recruit a Digital Communications & Fundraising Officer.
Reporting to the Digital Team Manager, this role is an excellent opportunity to shape digital fundraising and communications that change lives for people facing homelessness in the East Midlands and Yorkshire.
Key details:
- Salary: £29,909 – £32,838 per year
- Contract: Full time, Permanent
- Location: Nottingham, Hybrid, remote considered
- Working pattern: 37 hours per week, with flexible working and hours worked between 8.30am and 5.30pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be needed.
- Closing date: Dynamic
About the role:
This is a great opportunity to join the digital team of a well-established charity and make a real difference to people facing homelessness in Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and Sheffield.
You will be responsible for the charity's email marketing, social media presence and digital fundraising campaigns, using data insight to increase income, grow supporter audiences and improve the donor experience. You will also work with people who have used the charity's services to tell their stories.

This role is ideal for a confident digital marketer who enjoys combining creative content with analysis and wants to build their experience in fundraising.
Key responsibilities:
- Build, segment and deliver supporter email marketing.
- Develop multi-channel digital fundraising campaigns, including Engaging Networks pages.
- Grow digital networks and audiences to increase subscribers and donations.
- Manage social media and create content, including Canva assets and short and long-form video.
- Develop supporter journeys that turn new supporters into loyal donors.
- Tell service users' stories using a trauma-informed approach.
- Report on campaign results, budgets and cost effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with the Code of Fundraising Practice and GDPR.
About You:
You'll be a creative, compassionate self-starter who is confident working independently and enjoys turning data and storytelling into income for a cause you care about.
You will bring:
- Experience in digital marketing or communications, with a track record of growing social media audiences.
- Excellent writing skills, with persuasive, emotive copy and a keen eye for detail.
- Experience of building email campaigns in a platform such as Mailchimp.
- Experience of using supporter data and segmentation to target campaigns, analysing results and reporting back to stakeholders.
- Experience shooting and editing video, and creating designs in Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud.
- The ability to manage multiple projects on time and to budget.
- Degree level education or an equivalent qualification.
- A commitment to the charity's mission, empathy for the people who use its services and a good understanding of equality and diversity.

Experience of fundraising, Engaging Networks, Adobe Premiere Pro, data protection and fundraising regulation, or a general understanding of homelessness would be advantageous but is not essential. Training in Premiere Pro will be provided.
