Role Overview
Wynnstay Group is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and digitally minded Digital Communications Specialist to help bring the Wynnstay story to life.
Working within the Communications & Engagement team, you will create engaging internal and external content that celebrates our colleagues, showcases our expertise, supports commercial growth, and strengthens our reputation across the agricultural industry.
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of our digital communications channels, producing high-quality written, photographic, and video content. Working with colleagues across our stores, manufacturing, and logistics operations, agricultural divisions, and support functions, you will identify authentic stories and develop creative campaigns aligned with our brand, values, and strategic priorities.
The role will also support internal communications, business transformation programs, media relations, commercial campaigns, and wider reputation-management activity.
No two days will be the same. You could be filming behind the scenes at one of our feed mills, interviewing colleagues in a store, supporting a major business announcement, or creating content that brings Strategy Genesis to life.
This is an excellent opportunity for a creative communications professional who enjoys finding great stories, building relationships, and producing content that engages colleagues, customers, and the wider agricultural community.
Responsibilities
- Manage Wynnstay’s day-to-day digital communications channels, ensuring content is engaging, consistent, and aligned with our brand and values.
- Create high-quality written, photographic, video, and digital content for internal and external audiences.
- Identify and develop authentic stories that celebrate our colleagues, demonstrate our expertise, and showcase the breadth of the business.
- Develop and maintain an integrated content calendar aligned with commercial campaigns, seasonal activity, business milestones, and strategic priorities.
- Create engaging internal communications that keep colleagues informed, connected, and proud to work for Wynnstay.
- Support communications relating to Strategy Genesis, People First, and wider business transformation initiatives.
- Work with marketing and commercial teams to promote products, services, campaigns, and customer success stories.
- Support media relations activity, including drafting press releases and identifying positive opportunities to enhance Wynnstay’s reputation.
- Promote Wynnstay’s involvement in agricultural events, sponsorships, charity partnerships, and community initiatives.
- Maintain Wynnstay’s Social Media Playbook, brand guidelines, and communications governance standards.
- Provide advice and support to colleagues creating content on behalf of the business.
- Monitor channel performance and use analytics and audience insight to improve engagement and communications effectiveness.
- Build strong relationships across the organization to maintain a continuous pipeline of relevant and engaging content.
- Support reputation management and wider business communications activity when required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
