Digital and Community Marketing Executive
About the role
The PIE is looking for a creative, commercially minded Digital and Community Marketing Executive to grow, engage and better understand our global community of international education professionals.
This varied digital marketing role spans social media, content creation, community engagement, website management and lead generation.
Beyond likes and followers, you'll be curious about who is engaging with The PIE and what that tells us about their relationship with our brand. Working with Growth Marketing, Sales, Editorial and Events, you will turn engagement into audience insight and qualified leads. You'll also help shape The PIE's digital and physical presence, from event websites to our stands at industry events.
Key responsibilities
Social media & content
- Manage The PIE's social channels (LinkedIn & Instagram focus), aligned to audience and commercial goals.
- Create engaging written, visual and video content about The PIE's events, journalism, talent services, people and expertise.
- Test new formats and use performance data to see what resonates.
- Work closely with Editorial, keeping journalism and marketing clearly distinct.
Community engagement & lead generation
- Spot individuals and organisations showing meaningful interest in The PIE and help turn that engagement into marketing-qualified leads (MQLs).
- Look across the wider journey, emails, event pages, webinars, not just single posts.
- Use HubSpot and other data to build a fuller picture of audience engagement and commercial signals.
- Share leads and insight with Sales, with useful context for follow-up.
- Help refine lead-scoring criteria with Growth Marketing.
- Manage the LinkedIn inbox and create the LinkedIn newsletter, following up commercial enquiries promptly.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
