Ruskin Mill Trust is one of the foremost organisations in the United Kingdom providing holistic and therapeutic education and care for children, young people, and adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
About the role:
Working with the Head of IT & MIS and Digital Content Manager, you’ll create and manage accurate and engaging content across our websites and social media.
You will:
- Create and curate social media content that connects with our audiences and supports our marketing goals
- Work across the Trust, including its sister charities and organisations, to share stories, news and opportunities
- Use analytics and audience insights to understand what’s working and shape future digital content
- Develop engaging email campaigns and track their impact
- Make sure all digital content reflects the Trust’s vision, values and purpose
Responsibilities:
- Review and update Ruskin Mill Trust website content in a timely manner ensuring content is accurate, engaging and structured in line with the Trust’s visions and values.
- Source and post regular social media content across agreed outlets
- Working proactively to establish regular communication with key contacts at Ruskin Mill Trust schools, colleges, adult care centres and central services departments
- Receive content and feedback from key contacts to develop the key areas of Ruskin Mill Trust’s social media marketing strategy with a focus on student achievement and Trust developments
- To monitor and interact with members of our online community to encourage a positive and safe discourse
- Use relevant design products (such as Adobe) to ensure visual content is on brand and of a high quality.
- Provide analytics and reports regarding any Trust online activity on a regular basis

Desirable skills:
- Experience or understanding of Search Engine Optimisation
- Previous experience of advertising on platforms such as Facebook
- Good understanding of Adobe products; primarily Photoshop and InDesign
- Ability to create and edit basic video files
- An understanding of how to edit existing pages on WordPress, and create new ones
- Understanding of social media channels, especially Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
- Strong verbal and written creative communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to foster and maintain collaborative working relationships and sharing of good practice
- Enthusiastic, energetic, well organised, good communicator

Entry requirements:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
- The learner must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject
Working hours:
40 hours per week
