Digital Content Executive

Location: Hybrid Work (Remote/Glasgow Based Office)
Reports to: Head of Marketing and Ecommerce
Hours of Work: 09:00 - 17:30 (Monday - Friday) – FTC 9 month contract with possible extension.

Job Description

The Digital Content Executive will support the day-to-day delivery of Ecommerce, Content and Digital marketing activity for ARRAN Sense of Scotland. The role will create and publish accurate, on-brand content across arran.com, email and social channels; coordinate campaign assets and administration; and provide reliable reporting support.

Responsibilities

  • Content and Campaign Delivery
    • Maintain the content and campaign calendar under the direction of the Head of Marketing and Ecommerce, keeping deadlines, owners and approvals up to date.
    • Coordinate briefs, assets, product information and approvals with the Brand, Design, Product, Retail, Wholesale and Hotels teams.
    • Under the direction of the Head of Marketing & Ecommerce, design and create strong digital creative assets for use across social and email channels, alongside all Website assets.
    • Support influencer, PR, photoshoot and campaign administration, including product samples, briefs, contact lists, asset collation and results tracking.
    • Maintain an organised digital asset library so that current, approved content is easy for the wider business to find and use.

  • Email and Customer Communications

    • Build, test and schedule email campaigns and automated communications in line with the agreed CRM plan.
    • Prepare approved audience segments, links, tracking and personalisation, and complete quality checks across devices before send approval.
    • Maintain campaign records and support tests designed to improve engagement, conversion, re-engagement and retention.
  • Reporting and Team Support

    • Compile weekly and monthly data for website, email, social and campaign reporting, checking that figures are complete and accurate.
    • Highlight notable changes, emerging content opportunities and delivery risks to the Head of Marketing and Ecommerce.
    • Maintain campaign trackers, meeting actions and supplier information so that activity can be followed through to completion.
    • Support general Ecommerce and Marketing priorities during busy trading periods, product launches and business-wide campaigns.
    • Contribute practical ideas to improve content quality, customer experience and team efficiency.

Person Specification

  • Experience creating digital content through employment, an internship, an apprenticeship or a relevant portfolio.
  • Strong written English and copywriting skills, with careful proofreading and attention to detail.
  • A practical understanding of ecommerce, social media and email marketing, and an interest in how content supports online sales.
  • Confidence using a content management system, email platform and social scheduling tools; Shopify, Klaviyo or similar ecommerce/email marketing experience is desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO and website content best practice.
  • Comfort working with spreadsheets and performance data; web analytics experience is desirable.
  • Image editing skills using Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools.
  • Strong organisation and time management, with the ability to manage several deadlines and ask for clarification when priorities conflict.
  • A collaborative approach and confidence working with colleagues across different departments.
  • Curiosity, initiative and willingness to learn while working within agreed briefs and approval processes.
